Stacey Peets is our dynamic operations manager at StepWise Financial, bringing a wealth of experience from her six years spent with us and HBW Partners and a notable tenure in the tech sphere. Before joining StepWise, during her time at Zurich Insurance Group, a Fortune 500 giant, she led over 40 specialists to successfully deliver intricate IT projects within a high-stakes data warehouse, overseeing annual project budgets of around $1.3 million and engaging with multiple vendors.
Before climbing the corporate ladder, Stacey served in the military with distinction. Her academic and leadership journey began at West Point, culminating in her commission as a United States Army Officer, where she trained soldiers in critical logistical software during wartime and excelled as a military operations instructor from 1998-2006. Her active duty, including a pivotal role in Operation Iraqi Freedom as an operations officer, underscores her dedication and discipline.
Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science degree in law with a minor in environmental engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Since leaving the Army, she remains meticulous about health and fitness, and she became a certified health coach at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
With a career underscored by leadership and service, Stacey’s expertise now drives StepWise Financial forward, ensuring precision, integrity, and exemplary client service. “I don’t work directly with our clients, but I help facilitate and plan the organizational infrastructure to support our staff, including my husband, Alex Peets,” Stacey says.

Growing up, Stacey’s family moved more than 20 times, as her father was in the military and was also a contractor for the military. She currently lives in one place: Richmond, Virginia where she enjoys life with her husband, Alex. “We attend a local church and most of our volunteering and charitable work is done through the church. I have also volunteered with Feed My Starving Children and Habitat for Humanity. We also like to contribute to organizations to help orphans and widows,” Stacey says.
Stacey and Alex have three children and three grandchildren. She loves being a wife and mother, and she enjoys homeschooling.
